Course Reserves are located on the 2nd floor of Jefferson Hall, on the east side of the building. A staff member at the Help Desk is available to direct you there. Instructors at USMA often place items on reserve here for use by cadets in their classes. Two types of materials can be found here: Library-owned materials that an instructor selects from our collection, and instructor-owned materials (course packs, answer books/keys, personal books, etc.) that can be placed in the room so that all cadets in a class have access to them.
All Library materials are marked with one of three categories of use:
- "Reserve - Do Not Take" - Item must remain in Course Reserves for use by all patrons.
- "Reserve - Overnight Loan" - Item may be checked out after 2100, and MUST BE RETURNED by 1000 the NEXT DAY.
- "Reserve - 7-Day Loan" - Item may be checked out for one week.
All Instructor-owned materials MUST stay in Course Reserves at all times.
There is a copier nearby in the printing area; copies of Course Reserves-only items can be made with no charge.
