SCOUT is the name for USMA Library's discovery layer which is similar to a library catalog. SCOUT allows you to search multiple types of resources using a single interface.
When you search in SCOUT, you are searching through
- The physical items in the library (books, DVDs)
- Some physical items in Manuscripts and Special Collections
- Ebooks
- Journal articles from SOME databases
It is important to remember that SCOUT does NOT search all of our databases! We have over 250 databases and many of them have to be searched through our database list.
