Prompt is the term for the directions given to a Generative AI tool such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Adobe Firefly or CoPilot. It could be a question such as "What are the three main causes of heart disease?" or an instruction such as "Create an image of a dinosaur surfing on lava," or "Summarize the main points of this email." Some prompts are better than others.
